Mrs. Brown

I am going to write about my teacher, Mrs. Brown. I loved computer class with you this year, Mrs. Brown. It was realllly fun. I remember how fun math class was with you last year, so I figured that this would be a fun class. I am glad that I had you as a teacher this year because you know a lot about computers and you are willing to help us if we needed any help (I know that I sure needed help ha ha). I really didn't act as good as I should of in your class by turning in late work a couple of times and talking, so I am very sorry about that, because I should of done better because you were such a good teacher. So I just wanted to thank you Mrs. Brown for being such a good person and a great teacher. =] Computer class just wouldn't of been the same without you. =] I commented on Sean Tracy's blog.

Christmas/ Winter Picture

I put this picture on here because it is close to Christmas time. I commented on Ben Whetstone's blog Mrs. Brown.

The Winter Season

There are things that I like and I dislike about the winter season. I like how me and my friends used to go around the neighborhood and get a bunch of people to have a snowball fight. I also like to go outside and pull my little brother and sister around in the sled. The only thing I don't like about winter is when it gets like below zero outside and I also hate the wind when it's that cold out too. My favorite memory is back in like eighth grade, it snowed like a ton and everybody in my neighborhood wanted to have a snowball fight. We built huge snow forts because there was a lot of snow to use. We also built like little tunnels under the snow connecting each part of the fort and that probably wasn't very smart because if you were crawling through a tunnel and someone was walking above you, the tunnel would collapse and you would be in big trouble. Luckily, this didn't happen. I can't remember who won the fight because it was so much fun, that we really didn't even keep track. This was my favorite memory of the winter season.

Newscast Experience

This week and last week I had to do a newscast. My partner was Sean Tracy. We both like the guitar so we decided to do our two favorite guitar players. My favorite guitar player I chose was Randy Rhoads. Sean's favorite was Eddie Van Halen. I used two solos from two different videos for Randy Rhoads. I used the Mr. Crowley solo and outro and the Crazy Train solo from a show called After Hours. I found these on YouTube. Sean used a solo fromm Eruption for his video. Overall, this project was very fun and it was really fun comparing these two amazing guitarists. I hope we get to do more like this. I commented on Sean Tracy's blog Mrs. Brown.

Things I'm most thankful for

I am very thankful for everything in my life. The most important are my family and friends. I wouldn't be alive if it weren't for my mom and dad so they are the most important. They also support me and back me up in everything that I choose to do. My brother and sisters are the same way. I am also thankful for my friends. They also support me and they are always there for me. They also always make me laugh and can always put me in a good mood when I'm upset.

Political Cartoon

This cartoon is of the two parties. The donkey represents the Demcratic party. I chose this because I thought it was interesting that there was a female candidate in the running for the next president. This cartoon shows that there is a male and female candidate running for the Democrats. The donkey is saying that she doesn't know the outcome: it could be either a boy or a girl. Thanks for the comment Ben. I know what they are I just worded it really bad. I commented on Sean Tracy's blog Mrs. Brown. P.S. BEN: Dude what are you talking about? I fixed it. How am I wrong?

My Invention

If I could create an invention, I would probably make a teleporter. This has already been thought up, but I still think it would make a good invention.  It's purpose would be to transport people or things from one place to another very quickly. This would be helpful to everyone and it would prevent more car accidents from happening because a lot of people would probably buy one of these. I would definitely sell this because I would want to share it with everybody and I would make a lot of money.

Inspiring Person

Randy Rhoads has inspired me to want to play the guitar. I was going to put a sports figure, but I heard that a lot of people were doing this. Anyways, I also wrote my video podcast about Randy Rhoads. I think it is also cool that he inspired my uncle to play guitar. Randy Rhoads is my favorite guitarist and I enjoy listening to his music with Ozzy Osbourne. I commented Sean Tracy's blog Mrs. Brown.

Podcast

Last week we had to do a vocal podcast on our favorite scary movie. I chose Halloween. We also had to put a clip from it on our blogs. I thought it was kind of hard to pick my favorite scary movie. I have more than one but I just decided to do the most popular one. It didn't take me very long to do. Another choice was going to be the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre because that is probably the scariest movie that I've seen. I also was thinking about doing the new Amityville Horror movie.

Life Lesson

This week in computers, we have to blog about an event in our life that has taught us a valuable lesson and we have to explain what that lesson was. The event in my life would have to be when I was at Pikes Peak in Colorado. We were taking a picture by the sign and there were a bunch of boulders around it. There was also a lake and my sister and my cousin ran down to the lake. I was in such a hurry to get down there, that I jumped of the sign and slammed my knee on one of the boulders. I split my knee open and it kept bleeding because there was nowhere to go and I couldn't stop the blood. We drove to the top of the mountain and I had to get stitches. I now have a scar on my knee and it will probably be there for the rest of my life. The lesson is to be careful when I make sudden decisions to jump of a rock when no one is around that can help me. I commented on Mary Huether's blog Mrs. Brown.

Halloween Video

For computer class we had to do a podcast on our favorite scary movie. Halloween was the movie that I chose. It is not the scariest one I've seen, but it is still my favorite. We had to add a video from the movie that we chose and this is the video that I added from the original Halloween movie.

My Report Card

The first quarter just got over and we should be getting our report cards very soon. I am kind of nervous about seeing mine because I am not sure how well I did. I am still confident in my grades though because I have been getting pretty good grades in most of my classes so far. There are a couple of classes I am concerned about, but hopefully I did good in them. I am still very anxious to see it and I hope it comes soon! I commented on Ben Whetstone's blog Mrs. Brown.

Things to do before I die

Most people come up with a list of things they want to do before they die. This week we have to write about 10 things we would want to do before we die. I have many things in mind but here are my top 10:

1. I want to see the Chicago Cubs win a world series.
2. I want to go hunting with my cousin up in Wisconsin.
3. I want to go back to New York City.
4. I want to see a Chicago Bears game.
5. I want to meet a famous baseball player from back in the day.
6. I want to go to Germany because I take German.
7. I want to go back to Niagara Falls .
8. I want to go back to Colorado and go White Water Rafting.
9. I want to take guitar lessons.
10. Finally, I want to go skydiving.

New Peoria Logo

For our next blog assignment we are supposed to go to logopeoria.com to vote on our Peoria's next logo. Personally I didn't like any of them and I don't think that they should be changing the logo in the first place. I decided to vote for one anyways. I voted for the third one in the first row. If I had to pick one this would be my favorite because it looks normal and it has a nice view of the city. I still think that they should keep the same logo that we have now though. I commented on Tyler Horst's blog Mrs. Brown.

My Favorite Halloween Costume

When I was in second grade, I was a Washington Redskins football player for Halloween. I remember going to the store and buying this. I wanted to be a Chicago Bears football player but they were all out of them. I decided to be this because my dad used to play on the AA football team for the Washington Redskins. This was my favorite Halloween costume of all time. I remember Trick-Or-Treating in it and it was really fun.

This was one of the pictures that I used for my iPhoto project. I chose this because the Cubs are my favorite team and I chose him because he is one of my favorite players on the Cubs.

iPhoto project

This is the project for this week. We have to put 20 pictures on iPhoto and then present it to the class. I finished mine today and I presented mine today. It was a pretty easy project to do. My first twelve letters stand for my first and last name and the other eight pictures had to do with my hobbies. I had pictures of the Cubs, the Bears, Bradley, Illini Basketball, and my favorite music. My favorite music was the band KISS because I used to listen to them when I was little because I liked their makeup. Anyways, this was a very easy project and I had a lot of fun doing this. Mrs. Brown, I commented Jake Rocke.

Physical Goals

This year at Peoria Notre Dame, I am going to work on my physical goals. This would probably just be being more active than I was last year. I was going to play baseball last year but then I decided not to. This year, I will probably try out for the baseball team. Also, my friends and I always go out and play football, baseball, basketball ,or something instead of doing nothing. We will probably do this more often this year than last year.

Newsletter Project

This week and last week we were working on a newsletter project. It had to do with our school's homecoming. There were two other people in my group. We finished it yesterday and it was an overall success. It was also pretty easy because I had two other people helping me. Our newspaper was called DANSEAMAL because of the first three letters in every group members name. It was a very fun project to do and I hope we get to do more that are as easy as this one was.

Intellectual Goals

This year I have need to have a few intellectual goals. My first goal is to get my work done faster. I usually wait until ten o'clock before I start on my homework. I need to work on this because I am not getting a lot of sleep at night. I will try to do my homework and go to bed earlier from now on. Also, I will not wait until the last minute to do any projects. I have done this before and even if I finish the project, it still doesn't come out as good as it should. I will try to improve these goals this year.

Newsletter Project

This week in computers we are working on a homecoming newsletter assignment. It was pretty easy to write. There are two other people in my group. I wrote about how on each day of the week, we could wear a t-shirt besides Friday. The other topics in our group have to do with the football game and other activities for Homecoming. We also have to include pictures and make it look professional. It was a very fun project.

Emotional Goals

This year at Notre Dame I am going to try and grow more emotionally. In our handbook, it says that PND is here to nurture the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of their students. This year, I'm going to try to go to bed earlier, because I usually stay up kind of late and then ending up spacing out during school or daydreaming (especially in my first classes). That is the only goal I can think of on improving this year.

My saint assignment

This week in computer class we had to do a saint project. I chose Saint Patrick of Ireland. I chose him because he is one of my favorite saints and he's the patron saint of Ireland, and I'm mostly Irish. This was a pretty easy project because there is a lot of information about St. Patrick. It was really interesting to find out more stuff about him that I didn't already know. I finished this project in one day and I hope we have more that are this easy.

Spiritual Goals

My next post has to do with spiritual goals and developments this year. I have a couple things that I feel I should work on and improve this year. First, I am going to go to Mass more often. I will participate in Mass and actually pay attention instead of just saying what I normally say. Also, I think I should listen and pay attention more when we say morning prayer. I usually just stand there because I am so tired, but I will try to be more alert now. Hopefully, I will improve on these goals by the end of the school year.

Storyboard Project

For computer class we have to do a storyboard. I chose the song " Go, Cubs, Go" by Steve Goodman. We have to put pictures and lyrics to go along with the song. This has been my favorite project so far because we get to choose something we want to write about instead of having to follow something else. The Chicago Cubs are the best team ever and anybody that wants to say anything about them can comment this blog, whether it's good or bad. Go Cubs!

Malone's Blog

Hi. My name is Malone. I'm a sophomore in high school. I am taking a computer class and that is why I made this blog. Computer class is really fun and I hope we learn a lot of new stuff this year.
